About Us

About us
  • ‘’Change for Young People – Therapeutic Living’’ is a subsidiary of Paramount Therapy Centre Limited.
  • There is a significant gap in Clinical Psychological Assessment and Therapeutic support available to young people, especially (Looked After Children 16+) to tackle the core issues that affect the young people during and when they leave care. Hence, they continue in the same cycle of hopelessness, drugs, and reoffending. If young people are left untreated, these problems can worsen and may lead to further behavioural problems. For this reason, the earlier the problems are addressed, the better. Our treatment for such difficulties will involve a combination of therapeutic approaches. We at Paramount Therapy Centre believe that the earlier we address the issues facing young people a more improved and effective recovery rate will be achieved. We work alongside statutory services creating a portfolio of treatment models that will cover a wide range of young people’s needs and is not restricted to a single theoretical model but a holistic assessment approach which ranges from person centered therapeutic approach, humanistic, solution focused, analytic, and integrative, cross cultural and cognitive behavioural therapeutic approaches. We aim to continue rebuilding the lives of vulnerable young people enabling them to heal from childhood trauma and experience a brighter future. We work in partnership with our service users to encourage and assist the choices they make by empowering them to find the right path for their lives. The level of assistance given to each service user is agreed upon from the onset and we understand that each service user’s level of support will vary dependent on their individual need. Our services are provided in accordance with the Children (Leaving Care) Act 2000 and the children acts 1989 and 2004 (and additionally, any relevant government and/or statutory regulations and guidance).

    Location

We are based in Bradford (West Yorkshire). Our services for Children provide warm, caring, family style homes for looked after children with emotional, learning, social and behavioural difficulties who forwhatever reason are unable to live with their family.

    Our Mission

There is a significant gap in Clinical Psychological Assessment and Therapeutic support available to young people, especially (Looked After Children 16+) to tackle the core issues such as childhood trauma which unavoidably affect the young people during and when they leave care. Hence, they continue in the same cycle of hopelessness, drugs, lack of trust, missing from home and reoffending. That is why our Clinical diagnoses and therapeutic support were designed to enable our young people to lead healthy and productive lives. In turn impacting on their standard and living and enhancing their life opportunities.

We intend to enable our service users to maintain independent living and to increase self-esteem through empowering them to seek training or employment which would result in community inclusion. To offer good housing standards so that our service users have homes that provide secure, safe, and comfortable environments.

    Our objectives

Promote their Independence: We aim to provide an appropriate accommodation and support service that offers young people day to day support and training to achieve positive results. We aim to increase young people’s skills, confidence, and self-esteem by providing them with a positive network of support and links into their community. We aim for their independence to grow and our support to taper down, in preparation for a stable ‘move-on’ into adulthood.
